Statement
As an artist, I am engaged with the potential of lived time. Carried from stillness into life, forces awaken, enabling each new breath, blink, and the recurring hours of morning and evening. The accumulation of lived days and objects throughout this time serves as evidence of “being alive”: flower seeds, shopping receipts, exhibition catalogues, natural materials, as well as negatives and digital images that take up more and more storage space. That which renews and returns slumbers within stillness and carries us from one day to the very last. When breath no longer returns, the force left behind carries us into final rest.
